PAUL ROWE STUDENTS VOLUNTEER FOR HABITAT FOR HUMANITY BUILDING PROJECT
Four Paul Rowe students recently travelled to Fairview to volunteer for a Habitat for Humanity home building project in Fairview. Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that organizes home building projects which allow low-income families the opportunity to own their own home. The supplies are donated and the labour is provided by the recipient family and other volunteers. Insulation, taping, sealing and cutting out basement insulation for wiring are some examples of the jobs the group helped with.
The students who participated had a very positive experience and encourage others to join them when they return to the build site in October. A huge thank you goes out to Ms. Tamara Czaban for coordinating this awesome humanitarian experience and citizenship opportunity for our students!
